- Served my National Service in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps attaining the rank of Corporal. Married to my late wife Margaret for 42 years with 1 daughter (Karen Marie) &; 2 granddaughters (Cecilia Marie with a degree in Psychology at Sunderland University now has 2 children Sebastian & Gabriella & working in the offices of British Airways; Caitlin Victoria completing A levels at Newcastle College & working as an accountant. Retired from banking in 1991 aged 53. Following the death of Margaret I met my present wife (Theresa Ann) on pilgrimage to Boulogne in France with the KSC. In 2006 I was elected to the Board of Directors of the KSC serving until 2009 when I decided not to seek re-election. We married in 2006 with Missa Solemnis for our Nuptial Mass & 3 choirs singing. In June 2011 I was invested as a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (KHS) by Archbishop McDonald at St George's Cathedral in Southwark, London but subsequently left the Order as it was not sufficiently traditional for me & joined the Military & Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem where I am a Knight & Theresa a Dame.
